Alocasia Imperial Red is a striking hybrid within the Alocasia genus, developed for its deep colouring and robust, upright growth. Its broad, shield-shaped leaves and rich red tones set it apart from standard green Alocasias, making it one of the most architecturally impressive houseplants available.

Why Choose Alocasia Imperial Red?

Large, glossy leaves with deep green tops and burgundy undersides
Rich red stems that add warmth and drama
Strong, upright growth — a true architectural statement
Tropical presence that transforms any indoor space
A bold centrepiece for modern and tropical interiors

Light Requirements

Bright, indirect light is ideal to support healthy growth and maintain the rich colouring. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low light, which may reduce vigour.

Watering

Allow the top couple of centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Keep the compost lightly moist but never waterlogged. Ensure good drainage at all times.
