Bold, graphic, and unmistakably tropical — Alocasia Polly is one of the most striking foliage plants you can grow indoors. Its deep green, arrow-shaped leaves are dramatically outlined with bright silvery-white veins, creating a high-contrast look that feels both contemporary and wild. A compact powerhouse of a plant.

Alocasia Polly (Alocasia × amazonica 'Polly')

Alocasia Polly is a hybrid cultivar of the Alocasia genus, originating from tropical Southeast Asia. Unlike larger Alocasia varieties, it stays compact — typically reaching 30–50cm indoors — making it ideal for shelves, tabletops, and smaller spaces without sacrificing any of its dramatic presence.

Its glossy, wavy-edged leaves and sharply defined veining give it a bold, sculptural quality that pairs beautifully with minimalist and contemporary interiors.

Why Choose Alocasia Polly?

Deep green, arrow-shaped leaves with striking white veins
Compact and manageable — perfect for indoor spaces
Strong architectural presence with a tropical character
Ideal for bright living rooms, bedrooms, and offices
A contemporary statement piece for any plant collection

Light Requirements

Bright, indirect light is ideal. Place near a well-lit window away from direct midday sun. Insufficient light may slow growth, while direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Allow the top couple of centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Keep the compost evenly moist during the growing season but reduce watering in winter. Good drainage is essential — avoid waterlogging.
