Like moonlight captured in a leaf — Alocasia Silver Dragon is one of the most ethereally beautiful houseplants you can own. Its thick, heart-shaped leaves shimmer with a silvery-grey sheen, crossed by deep dark veins that create a dramatic, almost otherworldly texture. A true jewel of the plant world.
Alocasia Silver Dragon (Alocasia baginda 'Silver Dragon')
Alocasia Silver Dragon is a cultivar of Alocasia baginda, native to the rainforests of Borneo and part of the celebrated Jewel Alocasia group. It stays beautifully compact, making it ideal for shelves, desks, and plant stands — all the drama of a rare tropical plant without needing a lot of space.
Its metallic, scale-like foliage pairs beautifully with darker green tropical plants, making it a versatile and eye-catching addition to any indoor collection.
Why Choose Alocasia Silver Dragon?
- Rare Jewel Alocasia with stunning silver-grey foliage
- Thick, textured leaves with deep contrasting dark veins
- Compact growth habit — perfect for shelves and desks
- Highly collectible and sought-after variety

Light Requirements
Bright, indirect light is ideal to maintain the silvery leaf colour and texture. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low light, which may slow growth.
Watering
Allow the top couple of centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Keep the compost lightly moist but never waterlogged. Use a free-draining aroid potting mix.
Humidity and Temperature
Prefers moderate to high humidity and warm, stable temperatures between 18–28°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
